P3Dv4.5: Flickering, Texture Corruption...

Recommended Posts

Today after reinstalling REX Env Force the sim started having some issues with rendering textures.  I have gone through many of the suggestions that are found in several forums, such as deleting the shaders folders, uninstalling Rex Env Force, and also uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics card drivers.  The problem seems to exists both in the cockpit and when outside the plan in Spot view.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  See pics below.

System Specs:

  • Asus Prime Z390-P MB
  • i7-8700k (OC'd 4.9)
  • 1080ti (water cooled)
  • 32 GB memory

If your video card is overclocked, including a factory overclock, you might consider dialing that back a bit.  I had a GTX980 do this to me years ago, and downclocking it back closer to stock nVidia settings fixed it.

Also, try powering down the computer *completely*--either turn the PSU off if there's a switch on it, or unplug it from the wall if not, and leave it for ~30 sec before powering it back up.
