RXP430/Realsimgear4 doesn't work with Windows 7? (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hi All, I have two independent XPlane 11 flight simulators, one machine running Windows 10 with XP11 and one running Windows 7 with XP11. They are not networked, they are totally stand alone. One I use for a glass cockpit, the other for an analogue cockpit. I have bought the Realsimgear 430 and upon loading RealityXP for X-plane under Windows 10 everything works perfectly. No problem. On loading RealityXP onto XP11 on the machine running Windows 7 everything loads up as it should, the 430 screen beautifully superimposed on the Realsimgear 430 hardware, but the buttons on the Realsimgear 430 do not talk to RealityXP program at all. They remain inactive. There is no communication at all. I have done everything as I did to make it work under Windows 10, am I missing something? I am pulling my hair out, any suggestions please?

Hi,

Are you sure you have not missed "Use GPS Commands" settings?

Thanks for your reply Jean-Luc...... No,"Use GPS commands" is checked....

This might just be a problem with he hardware drivers then. I'm not familiar with their exact implementation, but should it come with a way for you to test the hardware buttons are actually working standalone in your system/simulator, this would help eliminating a probable cause first (for example should they support commanding the default/stock GPS with their hardware).

Thanks Jean-Luc, all sorted okay now, nothing to do with Reality XP software! As you rightfully mentioned it needed Arduino drivers loaded and now everything works! Thank you for your help, much appreciated!
