FSX Demo Brake Release

Featured Replies

I have been trying out the FSX Demo and I have been impressed so far. I can't max things out as much as the forum displays, but I expected that and will be happy with performance until I get a new system after FSX is released (and Vista comes out.) I was tinkering with the controls sensitivity while flying the ultralight and the Beaver. It seems I have to really turn my FS Yoke far to the left or right to start a turn. Now my brake indicator in the lower left of the screen stays on until I put on the parking brake and release. As soon as I toe the brakes again, they lock on again. I tried setting the control settings to the defaults for both the rudder pedals and the yoke, but the brakes stay on. Any ideas?? Thanks. Tom

It sounds like you have the first (older) version of the demo. Check back at fsinsider.com to get an updated version that sholdn't have these issues.

I didn't realize X had been released!!:D I wonder what's causing the problem with the brakes if it is in the retail version. tom

I just started a thread with exactly the same problem.John

John,I checked out your post and it seems you think your problem is due to a defective set of pedals. I decided to go back to FS9 and my pedals work fine as normal, so I must have a problem within FSX itself since I only get the locking brakes in the FSX demo. Thanks. Tom
