FSX: which command to get VIEW_FORWARD_DIR back?

Featured Replies

it would seem that all the various "reset" and "look" commands make the pilot stare straight ahead, totally oblivious of the default VIEW_FORWARD_DIR setting of the panel. has anyone found a command that actually resets the view to that default? thanks

If you mean like after you turned around a looked elsewhere i found that CTRL-SPACE would get me back to the default view.

nope, it disregards the default tilt. at least on my machine :-(

No, unfortunately there isn't. I wish it would reset to the default, or better yet, center the view without affecting the pan UP or DOWN.CalCYXX

Tragger has pointed out many times that you can set up an unlimited number of custom camera views. So if a key command does not exist to reset to forward view, then you should be able to create such a view then assign it to a keystroke. Granted this may involve some trial and error with one of the CFG files. But I'm quite confident it can be done!-Rick----------- My System -----------P4 @ 2.53 GHz / 1GB RAM / NVIDIA GeForce 6800XT, 256MB / Windows XP Home

This is why we still need Active Camera. I don't want to have to trial and error camera views when a camera utility can make the sim more efficient. For the life of me, I can't figure out why MS designed 80% of the Active Camera features and left out the most important 20%.
