Saitek Yoke - aileron dead zone on one side

Hi guys,

I have a Saitek ProFlight Yoke that I've had for quite a while. Never had any problems with it. I just noticed recently that there's a pretty big dead zone when turning left. There is no dead zone turning right. I had it calibrated through P3D and then calibrated it through a registered version of FSUIPC (with the joysticks disabled in P3D) and it does it in both cases. 

It's not horrid or anything, it is certainly usable, but it's a bit annoying. 

Any thoughts on causes or solutions?

There are a few videos around the internet showing how to open unit, you could do this and check there's now issues inside first, I have attached a picture showing the part that might be effected.

I've ordered a Leo Bodnar module and requisite wiring harness (2x) for my Saitek yoke. My dead zone is ~5º on the right side. Many of these issues are actually caused by flakey firmware installed on the Saitek's own controller module, or defective potentiometers.

Using the Leo Bodnar module will replace both the x and y axis (roll and elevator). I'll come back after 'surgery' and report on how well it works.

Sadly, I've had to return the Honeycomb yoke. It simply would not work properly with FSX, P3d v4.5 or ehem "the next great thing... 

Their 'calibration and assignment' software would not install either, and their customer support pretty much blew me off.
