Hi Guys

I normally use an external capture card to record video footage and am pretty pleased with the results. Having now started to use Windows 10 i thought i would try out a few alternatives including the game bar and shadowplay

The gamebar works fine however when i try and use shadowplay it records the sound ok but only the first 6 or seconds of video and then the video freezes.

Am using a 2080 with Windows 10home and 16gb Ram

Any idea what is causing this?

Possibly hard drive related, try recording to your SSD and tuning down your settings and see if it improves.

I have had multiple issues (one where the shadow play bar would not show at all) where I needed to re-install the NVIDIA geforce drivers, I would suggest this also.

Are you using the right keys to start recording, Alt + F10 records the last 5 mins, Alt + F9 manually starts record/stop for your desired length.

Am definitely recording using ALT+F9, the sound carries on playing its just the video that stops after about 7 secs
