P3D v4 open Windows Explorer

Featured Replies

I have a problem ... maybe two ... and that is that every time I open P3D v4.5 it automatically opens in a separate window in Windows Explorer, and precisely because of the folder that contains the simulator.
And also very often (second part of the problem) P3D doesn't load or quits during the program's loading process.
Does anyone else have this problem and / or know how to solve it ???

Thank you very much and greetings

Probably your desktop shortcut is pointing to Windows Explorer instead or the Prepar3D.exe file.

Thank you very much for your response Reader, but probably I have not explained myself well ...... when I press my P3D shortcut key, the simulator always opens, but also Windows Explorer opens and this has never happened to me.
In fact on my laptop, I do not have this problem and as much as I have investigated I do not find any differences that justify this situation.

What key(s) do you press to start P3D and how did you set it (them) up?

I have selected in the options of Prepar3D.exe send to Desktop (create shortcut) and this shortcut is the one that I usually press to open P3D
But if I click directly on the file Prepar3D.exe with options to run as Administrator the problem also occurs.
Thank you very much Reader for your help
