March 21, 20206 yr Hey guys, I’m brand new to the community and Im still learning my ways here. My computer had a little stumble and I had to uninstall and reinstall FSX-SE. I’m having issues with the auto installer since it doesn’t remember the path to save the planes. I know I go to disk C, Program files (X86), steam, steammapps, common, fsx. Right? Do I stop there or do I need to continue on to SimObjects, airplanes and then save it there? Thanks! Yariel
March 21, 20206 yr Administrators Welcome! I think the folder for payware aircraft is called DLC, which may be a sub-folder of Simobjects/Airplanes/DLC. I'm not positive, since I don't have FSX-SE. March 21, 20206 yr Author Thanks for the info but it didn’t work. What I keep noticing is that the folders are not being distributed to their respective folders. Ex. the Gauges folder doesn’t go to Gauges, Sound to Sound etc. I remember that I didn’t have to manually save each folder under their respective folder if that makes sense...
March 22, 20206 yr Administrators Iis your payware aircraft FSX-SE compatible? March 22, 20206 yr Author Got it! Yes all my payware are FSX compatible. Trust me, I learn the hard way. So what I did was very simple. When the auto installer asked me what my program (simulator) was, instead of choosing FSX-SE I chose just FSX and it populated the path for me. Don’t know why they give you the FSX-SE option if it won’t auto populate and it works just fine by clicking FSX. I appreciate your time and help!
