April 1, 20206 yr I have a Saitek S52, which is reasonably nice, yet the stick-slip kept irritating me. I went on the lookout for an alternative and found that the 'pan-tilt-zoom' joysticks used for video camera control are very smooth. That's where the challenge started to build 'the world's smoothest joystick' :). A throttle goes with it. It's a do it yourself project and who knows this might be interesting to some here on the avsim forum. This is the link to the first of three articles on how to build it, including drawings, electrical schematics and software. Always have fun --0-- Flight Sim Navigation
