PBR, no PBR, adjusted, not adjusted?

Hi all, got my v5 installed yesterday, so far so good. But now I started to think twice about certain aspects, most of them related to ORBX but applicable for other products: do we basically downgrade our v5 by using global addons such as FTX Global Base or even already by using local addons covering bigger areas than just an airport? Why do I think about this is easy, just go back and check the changelog:

"Adjusted autogenerated building height."

"Added 5551 texture support to PBR materials."

Somewhere, I even read that now the whole world is equipped with ground textures also using PBR (I can not verify this). If this would be the case, several addons would basically result in a downgrade in this regard. ORBX Buildings HD would remove PBR from autogenerated buildings and most probably revert those adjusted building heigts at least for all those buildings that come along with the product. Any region, be it local like Pacific Northwest or TE products, be it global like FTX Global Base, would basically result in non-PBR ground textures. Also any other addon covering ground textures outside an airport would result in the same "downgrade", like MK Studios Mallorca island coverage, photoground textures etc. 

What do you think about this? Could that be the case or is it just me doing a wrong thinking? One of the reasons I started to think about this were the many reports that when using enhanced atmospherics, there seem to be no cloud shadows. Could it be, that with enhanced atmospherics, you need PBR-based ground textures to properly recognize the cloud shadows and that those not seeing them simply use one of those addons resulting in non-PBR ground textures?

I am just wondering and I really hope that I am wrong...
