October 17, 200619 yr I have been playing around with the settings on FSX for a few hours now and have noticed that no matter what I do, the terrain mesh complexity always sets itself at 10m. During the tests to see what my computer likes and what it wants to vomit up in terms of settings I try to set the simulator to 38m terrain mesh and save my changes, however, if I go back to change something else its right back at 10m again. Has anyone noticed this and is this something that can be change to force the sim to use a 38m mesh?_______________________________________Nick Preston :-kewl http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/staff_Images/teamsig1.gif
October 17, 200619 yr Author Not sure which slider you are refering to but there is a balanced relationship between the 1. Mesh Complexity2. Mesh Resolution3. Texture ResolutionThe relationship means that some sliders will default to a lower settings if the other 2 sliders are set to low.If you increase the 1 and 3 scenery sliders then by default no 2 (Mesh Resolution) will increase up to 38M.Level of detail Radius is not part of this balance of sliders and will stay in the position selected. The sliders are saved in the FSX.cfg and are not part of the saved flight.
