SODE Conflicts

Featured Replies

It just occurred to me this morning and looking through my files that many people at the moment are using V4.5 alongside V5 and maybe slowly moving stuff over as installers become available. As scenery installers do become compatible for the new version, with sometimes a slight change in the AFCAD which has been mentioned by a few developers, I cannot help but notice that both versions share the same SODE xml folder.

I hope I am wrong but is this going to produce conflicts in anyway, has anyone else come across issues.?

I have also noticed if you have any exclude.xml files with GSX2, this also shares the same folder with V4.5. There is something in me thats saying "problems" all the way or am I worrying about nothing ?

e.g

I have UK2000 Bristol installed into V4.5 but not V5, however there is a SODE file for Bristol in the folder and as V5 is reading these files but obviously there is no scenery there apart form default. Is this going to cause issues. ?

Apologies if I have not explained it clearly enough...🙂
