Aivlasoft SimpleCam updated for P3DV5

Featured Replies

For those not familiar with the product, SimpleCam is a lightweight, low-overhead app to manage VC camera views using the numeric keypad keys, with custom camera profiles assignable to specific aircraft, (similar to what X-Plane does by default.)

Version 1.2.1 for P3DV5 can be downloaded from http://www.aivlasoft.com/download.html  For those who already have the P3DV4 version installed, it should be able to use previously-created custom profiles.

One thing I found on initially running it... every time I would change camera views, the overall VC zoom level would go to minimum zoom (0.30). My preferred zoom level (for out-the-window views) is 1.0, since I run a 4K monitor with wide view aspect ratio “on”.

I fixed it by opening the P3D CAMERAS.CFG file. I found that the zoom level for the VC cam is indeed set to 0.3 by default. I changed it to 1.0 and re-saved the config file, and SimpleCam is now working perfectly when switching views.
