Application closes at launch

Hello,

I've been using this application for about a week but I haven't yet got it to work properly.

Every time I open the application it works for seconds or minutes then the application closes.

MCE runs the speech engine inside "mce.exe"

Any malfunction with audio device (or speech engine)would eventually cause an app hang or crash. Still better than screwing the whole sim, and this is why we deliberately run it as an external app.

It's very likely connected to you audio system.

USB headset or conventional one?

If not USB, which sound device is built into your motherboard?

I'm currently using a conventional one and realtek is the sound device used.

I've literally tried everything and it still won't work

This is what happens every time I start the application.

Ah, it's now clear.Thanks

This usually happens when installation is incomplete on the simulator side.

<MCE dlls> folder, with 40+ dll (64 bit dlls) missing.

If you installed P3D V5 AFTER MCE, you need to re-install MCE so it can add those files.

And since Prepar3D v5 was supported only very recently, suggest te following.

Un-install MCE via Windows Control panel. Do not delete anything manuially.

Download latest

Unzip and run "InstallMCE".

When done, go to \Prepar3D v5\ folder and check you have <MCE dlls> with many dlls inside it. One for each supported complex aircraft.
