June 6, 20206 yr Hi everyone! As my title says, I have been having some severe problems using PRO-ATC/X. I love the difference it makes to the original ATC but every flight I do I get issues. I paste my flightplan in pro-atc ( get them from simbrief ), put them in my fmc, my route looks good and start my flight. People gave me the advice when the programs wants you to turn to another direction to use direct to waypoint. I do this but at some point there are no more waypoints in the pro atc other options. At that point it just gives me headings to make me go in to circles. One flight I finally got to my last waypoint and had to fly my star. Nope, Pro-ATC starts giving me headings to do circles or even just fly back to my original airport. I really do not know how to fix this. Other programs I use are GSX, Navigraph and activesky. June 6, 20206 yr Your FMS probably did an early turn and it was not close enough for PRO-ATC to see you crossed that waypoint. You can bring up the menu and request direct to the next waypoint to force ATC to keep up with the airplane. The other issue is PRO-ATC builds a waypoint after take-off in which they will demand you fly to. I have found in a few cases this takeoff waypoint has been in the middle of a mountain. Again you can force ATC to catchup by requesting direct to waypoint.
June 6, 20206 yr I use Pro-ATC on a networked PC and usually have the moving map display open to make sure I’m hitting all the waypoints. A bit of a pain, but since I’ve started doing that I’ve had very few issues with flying in circles.
