memory.dll

Featured Replies

Someone mentioned using the memory.dll, it said the following:Memory is better used and u will get better results in FSX, also even at low FPS such as 8 FPS u still have smooth flying without hickups before the memory.dllCan someone confirm that installing the memory.dll in the c:windowssystem folder actually does anything ?

According to the search function, yours is the first mention ever made of the module in these forums. This is the place where the developers hang out, as well as recognised experts. Can you point us to the `someone` you refer to, and provide a link to the site or page that mentions this magic tweak. Because it wasn't here.I suspect its just another one to add to the snake oil collection. Allcott

well i dont really remember who said it but im just hoping someone can say something about this who knows if it's gonna do anything or not.

Never heard of it, cant find anything up to date relating to XP or FS and this module using Google. So it hasn't ever been mentioned on the civilised flight sim sites, not just Avsim. On that basis I'd say `NOT` and tell you to ignore the advice, or at least make sure you got it in full. What are you supposed to DO with this modeule, and what is it supposed to improve, and how?Nobody wants to go messing around in System folders unless they have a jolly good idea of what they're doing, and a way back when it all goes pear-shaped.So lets just say `not` and leave it there until you can come up with some information about this tweak, mod, file or whatever it is. Allcott

The only information I can come up with on the memory.dll is that it appears to be for another game by Relic. Battlefield I think..Andrew

well it suppose to manage your memory better i tried it and i did see some small improvement but maybe it was just a moment thing.
