Easiest ways to improve FSX

Featured Replies

Howdy,I got FSX yesterday and love it.Just like all of you it I have poor frame rates and my planes come up blurry (Including the cockpit).I was wondering the easiest ways to improve framerates (I dont want to mess around to much with configuration but if I have to I will) and the best settings for scenery, aircraft, traffic, and all the settings. Thanks for your help in advanceRunning: Gateway MX710 Laptop with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2 Mobile AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+ 787 mhz and 448mb of ram

You need a vid card with 512 meg of ram to run this sim well.I upgraded from a 128 meg asus 6800gt to a gainward 512meg 7800gs golden sample. And what a differance that has made. With the 128meg card I had blurries everywhere in the cockpit and on the ground, also on the aircraft textures. and it ran like a dog. With this new card it runs very well, and looks stunning. I can also run with 16 & 8 filters antialasing stuff.
