Amazon FINALLY shipped my FSX

Featured Replies

So much for pre-ordering. Amazon really screwed the pooch on this release and ticked off a lot of customers. But to make the best of things, I've spent this week downloading the tweaks available so far, picking up another 1 gb of RAM for my computer and upgrading my nvidia 6600GT to a 7600GT. Like a lot folks, I'm hoping that will tide me over until the Vista/DX10 machines are available. Hopefully I'll get FSX next Tuesday.Jim

humph, ya I cnx'd my amazon order. I went to Walmart and they only STD, it was a little tricky as STD was printed on the bar code, no where else. CompUSA was clueless when they would get it. I almost went to Best Buy, but when I went to order it the next day, they were out of stock all ready. I went to EB Games webiste and they actually had quantities listed. They have a lot of stores in northern NJ. I ended up reserving a copy and picked it up last night.I also have the 7600GT (and E6300 Oc'd to 2.45 ghz). I had a couple strange anomalies like flashing screen / panel that would not go away when vsync was off and switching to a C172. Also when doing changes in any of the menus, I get like a yellow or green outline of panel, but eventually it clears up in a second or two after exiting them.

I uninstalled the FSX Demo to make room for the real thing, and it hosed my FS9. Fortunately I snagged the file at Flight 1 that rebuilds the registry keys.FSX is giving me headaches and I don't even have it yet.Jim
