Garmin GTN 750 will not reinstall

Featured Replies

I reinstalled my Garmin GTN 750 after installing new "C" windows drive and a new "F"-Flight Sim drive. My install came up with a blank GTN 750 window in x-plane 11. I went through the "Click Here to Reinstall" program you see when you purchase it. My email and password worked the first time, but it came up as blank GTN 750 screen as a separate window in x-plane but not in the aircraft. "Select Key" did not work the second time I installed it,Reading on their web page they do not use coupons any more, then my user name and password did not work and it said it did not recognize it I then deleted all the files in program files on my C drive and in x-plane 11 to do a clean install.

1) How long do I have to wait before I can use it again (user name and password) to do a clean install?

2) Am I doing it the correct way?.

Hi,

The procedure should be quite simple: run the e-commerce installer, enter your F1 account credentials, click REINSTALL, follow through. Once reinstalled, don't move or delete the C:\RealityXP folder.

For any other problem please post the content of the RXP log files (see user's manual for file/path).

So Everyone knows,How to fix the Garmin GTN 750 reinstall.... When I originally down loaded I did not have to create an account with flight1.com. Now you have to because you cannot use the "Certificate Number" any more, you received when you purchased GTN 750. Now you have to create a F1 account with using the same email address you used when you originally purchased it. It is tied to your email address. Then it kept taking me to download GarminTrainerSetup2500.exe and it came up with "File not Found (404)". So I unchecked the box on the install called download "GarmenTrainerSetup" and installed just the X-Plane setup. When you open x-plane it just came up with a blank GTN 750 window, nothing else. So I went back to the install setup screen again and it gave you an option when  you read one of the read me files to download a previous version manually of the "GarmenTrainerSetup" and install it separately of GarminTrainerSetup (It was the 3rd one down on the page in my situation). So I did this and reinstalled the X-Plane setup file and it worked in X-Plane perfectly. I noticed some of the features in the Garmin did not show for example taxiways at YBBN-Brisbane. So I went through the same install process again and it gave me a option to upgrade, so I did and the taxiways showed up. Now everything is working perfectly.

I hope this helps everyone. I notice a few people on the forum had the same or similar problems.

Thank you for sharing this and helping others.

Please note: when reinstalling the product, you can always download the full e-commerce installer from the RXP website and get the latest, always.

Hello , what happens when you get the latest e-commerce installer, place the key and it advises you that you have reached the maximum amount of activation's? I already have a f1 account, and my purchase of the  GN750 is from a couple of year´s back.

I also sent you @RXP direct message for this issue, any help is appreciated. i have already created an account, and the result is the same, activation limit reached.

Hi,

I believe the first course of action would be to read the Store FAQ which explains all this:
