GTN 650 Invalid License

Featured Replies

In 2018, I purchased the RXP GTN 650 for Xplane 11.  It never worked for me.  I always only had a black screen. I now think I know why.  I had a small solid state C drive and XP11 was on my D drive.

I've recently upgraded my C drive.  I decided to see if the GTN 650 would work.  I received a message that there was a newer version to download, so I did.  Now, when I start XP11, the GTN comes up fine but I get an error message that the license is invalid.  Not sure what to do.

Did not appear to work.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling letting it go to the default directory, no luck.

Let me try to recap:

The installer you are running, rxp-GTN-XPL-setup.exe is not the e-commerce installer.

You might have noticed when you're trying to do what is mentioned in the other thread (reinstalling using the e-commerce installer, entering the credentials, etc...) none of what is suggested does show up in the installer you're using? This would be a good hint you're not running the right one because obviously, you can't do what is indicated in the other thread with this installer.

You can always download the most recent e-commerce installer directly from our website.

Hi, please help me understand what you say:

1) Did you try downloading but didn't succeed? Otherwise if you've succeeded did it fail running? Otherwise when entering your F1 account info and pressing "REINSTALL" did it fail to reinstall?

2) Can your computer connect to the internet or can't it?

Thanks for reply,

I have successfully downloaded the gtn650 from Reality and get invalid message on the 650 screen.  It will run for a few minutes then go fuzzy.  I have the purchase code and the license file and would like to know how to get it to work as I have paid for the unit.  I tried to reinstall the ecomerece file but can’t get that through my firewall or something else is preventing it from connecting and I have internet working on my computer.  Please advise, thanks

F1 ac count failed to reinstall, yes

ok this helps understanding. If the e-commerce installer is not connecting to the internet it won't authenticate.

Can you try this:

I am using Windows 10 and will try your suggestions, thanks

Tried the license transfer and it says my file is corrupt.  Also tried the server connection tools you suggested and my settings were already correct.  Tried to reinstall and can’t get your site to connect.

This is getting old and I’m not happy about the process and I paid the full retail for this product.  There must be a way to remedy

I’m sure it is user error on my part, just frustrating

Resolved, thank you very much for your help, had to put in my credit card info. Hopefully won’t be double charged😀
