October 21, 200619 yr Anyone find a way to get the Airbus and 737 Cabin and Logo lights to work yet at night? Textures seem to be there, they just don't want to show when it gets dark.
October 22, 200619 yr I haven't checked all the default aircraft but I did test the A321, B744, B738, and the CRJ700. The B744 and the CRJ700 work as advertised. The A321 and the B738 do not.I believe I've found the answer. If you look in each of the texture folders for these aircraft you will find an *LM.DDS file. This is the light-map file that provides aircraft interior and tail logo lighting. If you use a hex editor and open the *.mdl files (models) you will see a call/reference to the LM files in the B744 and the CRJ700.You will not, however, find any references to the LM files in the B738 and the A321. I believe that is why you do not have these lighting elements for these aircraft during night operations. Someone left these references out.FrankNow if someone would kindly solve the issue of the failed pointer texture.cfg file and AI aircraft. For those that haven't heard yet, no AI aircraft transitioned from FS9 have cabin and tail logo lighting for night operations. Even if you copy all of your light map textures from the FS9/texture folder into FSX they will not work. The only way you can get this lighting to operate properly is to place the "l" file back into each texture folder (there goes the disk storage neighborhood). The "fallback" statements in the texture.cfg file do not work with AI aircraft lighting. :-(
