October 22, 200619 yr I discovered that there is also a simobjects folder in the same folder where fsx.cfg is located, it is refilling that folder each time you load the game, im just wondering what it is for. I emptied it because i tested a few planes from FS9 and then delete those planes that did not work as i wanted but in this folder they where all still there. So can someone tell me what this folder is for ?
October 22, 200619 yr Author What do you mean it is "refilling" the folder? The SimObjects folder is where all "drivable" and AI objects are stored for FSX, whether it is your aircraft or AI ships, cars, or mission objects (i.e. flour bombs), etc..All your default aircraft are stored here, and this will probably be where you will be putting your aircraft as you add them to FSX, as you seem to be doing.Based on your description it sounds like you think, even though you deleted files from this directory structure, FSX is putting them back after you delete them. Does that sound right? How are you "cleaning out" that directory? I hope you didn't delete your default aircraft and AI. What is the result of your "cleaning"?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

October 22, 200619 yr Hi,The folders you are looking at are created each time an aircraft (or other 'object') is flown. The folder contains one (or more) files starting with the state.cfg. All that is contained in that file is the time on the engines of the AC you fly. Delete them all you want, they WILL be created the next time you fly that AC. If you delete an AC that you don't care for, and the folder with the state.cfg in it, it will not be re-created. It's only needed to track engine time. If you leave it, then at some later date you can go in and see which plane you actually fly the most.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
