July 18, 20205 yr I bought the GNS 530W without realizing that my 310 did not support it. I am trying to mod the panel to make it work, and as I typically fly P3D not Xplane... I'm not having any luck. I followed the tutorial but obviously didn't do something correct; the panel displayed is still the default Xplane 530. I could use some help! July 18, 20205 yr Author This is the panel preview image: https://imgur.com/a/YsFDUt5 I don't know if I am supposed to map the RealityXP intro screen or the default GNS530 screen. ATP BE300 BE400 CE500 CE560XL DA20 MU300
July 18, 20205 yr Yes you do have to so that the RXP GNS screens draw over the XP11 GPS screens. It is exactly what is documented in the tutorial: Quote In the paint program, zoom to the centre section where you find the default GPS screen.
July 18, 20205 yr Author OK, so here are the modifications to the RealityXP GSN.ini: [GNS] ; comma separated list of gauges gauges = GNS_530_1, GNS_530_2 [GNS_430_2] ; comma separated list of render targets. drawto = WINDOW, PANELS, Garmin_530_screen ; is the master device if true. REST OF THIS SECTION NOT SHOWN FOR BREVITY. [GNS_530_1.Garmin_530_screen] visible = true nobezel = true frame.type = PANEL3D ; display position and dimension (left, top, width, height) frame.rect = 430,74,521,387 No luck... Make sure drawto is referencing existing sections only. Make sure to review how to compute the Y coordinate (the other values are coorect, bravo!) (NB: this should be 2048 in your case...)
July 18, 20205 yr Author So it is working - somewhat. Thanks for the assistance. Only the 'C' and 'V' buttons work - non of the others on the gauge. I have to use the window unit? Edited July 18, 20205 yr by snpower ATP BE300 BE400 CE500 CE560XL DA20 MU300
July 18, 20205 yr You most likely also need to enable "Use Simulator GPS Commands" so that the RXP GNS intercepts the stock GPS button commands too.
