July 19, 20205 yr Just purchased xp GNS 530 installed ok except the trainer wont turn on, main problem is that when trying to enter a flight plan I can highlight the vacant space enter the first symbel but the curser will not move to the right I have tried it in several Carenado aircraft there is no option in the menu to start a new plan. Im using FSX acc and Window 10 /64
July 19, 20205 yr Hi, The trainer won't turn on standalone and this is normal and expected. Are you trying to turn the knobs in 2D popup or 3D panel? Please make sure to hover the mouse around the knob (up, down, middle etc...) and detect the mouse cursor changing to reflect bigger or smaller arrows, corresponding to big or small knob. Likewise, hover around until the cursor changes to a hand for the 'push' action.
July 21, 20205 yr Author I have it installed in the Carenado Piper Navajo panel. With great difficulty when zoomed in l can manage to set a waypoint when l change to GPS view in 2d it is easier, but its not transferring the plan to the VC panel XPGNS5. Hope that makes sense.
July 21, 20205 yr Hi, Is this the aircraft you're referring to?https://www.carenado.com/sitecarenado/product/pa31-navajo-hd-series-fsx-p3d/ If so, please note their specification list: "Reality XP GNS530* integration (only for FSX)" This means they are offering a pre-configured panel for the legacy RXP GNS 530 WAAS product. In order to use the GNS V2 instead, please review existing discussions on our forums: and much much more answers using google search: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aavsim.com+"Carenado+GNS+legacy"
