October 23, 200619 yr First question:There doesn't appear to be an easy way to come back to FSX where you left before. In FS9 you could select previous flight from the list of flights, and make that the default flight. I don't see anything like this now. You have to actually save your flight (if you remember) when you quit. ??Next:With VC selected in the settings as the default cockpit, everytime I start the 2d panel shows. You have to open the VC window and then close the 2d. I can't find anything in the cfg or camera files that would affect this.Just a comment this time:When you add new scenery now you don't have to exit FSX for it to take effect. All you have to do is click ok in the scenery library, and it loads. This is a great timesaver when building scenery from something like Airport, since you don't have to exit and restart to see a change. Saves several minutes each time.

Haven't had your second problem. Thanks for the comment about "scenery library". I probably would never have found that out!Let's hope someone finds the cure for "previous flight".JackD
October 23, 200619 yr If you have the registered version of FSUIPC, there's an option under AutoSave to save a copy as whatever you want to call it - I've named it Previous Flight. You can then make Previous Flight your default flight, and the last copy saved before you shut down FSX will define the startup situation (complete with weather) for your next FSX session. Otherwise, your only solution is to remember to save before you exit.According to Bill Leaming: "there is a 'Previous.flt' and 'Previous.wx' file created when launching the sim, or changing a/c, or changing location. However, it is never updated to reflect your actual ending location/configuration when exiting the sim, and in fact both files are deleted automatically on exit."What a waste!Dugald
