More birds?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've only seen birds so far at TNCM and that was around some of the ships. I understand that someone more intelligent than I will come around and create some sort of mod or "hack" (can i use that word?) that will put birds everywhere, just as someone created for the last version a mod that allowed for AI beacons, strobes, and other flashing lights not to flash simutaneously. I suspect that it may be the same sort of thing here. In addition to saying that I was wondering if anyone has seen birds elsewhere, like maybe randomly while taking off somewhere for a flight or something. Thanks,Jeff

fly the amazon mission and accept the surprise invitation from the, ahem, archaeologist--there are more birds ;-)

Interesting. I haven't seen any birds yet, but I haven't really looked for them. I will try this tomorrow evening.-Jeremy Burchhttp://home.earthlink.net/~dawgfighter/sit...es/swvasig1.gifSWVA4806 http://www.virtualswa.com/home.phpThe Ozark Dogfighter http://forums.avsim.net/images/wedge.gifCurrent system:Pentium 4 Cedar Mill 641 (3.40GHz), Abit AW8D, Gigabyte GeForce 7900GTX (512MB DDR3 PCI-Express x16),Corsair XMS2 Pro 2GB PC2 6400 (DDR2 800), 2 SeaGate Barracuda 250GB hard drives, Sound Blaster X-Fi PlatinumKlipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 speakers, NEC 20" CRT, Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2Please note: System specs are for reference in tech forums only and are not to be taken as meaning anything else.Doing so will result in eye-rolling, possible teeth grinding and perhaps mild internal chuckling.Happy Flying!

Hm, I also haven't seen any birds yet... which is strange because IRL birds are everywhere. The animals on land and in the sea are a nice idea, but the thing is you can hardly see them from high up in the air. Cars move quicker and on the road, so you see them far more easily. I did a mission (the one in Hawai) and suddenly the guy said 'Look: there are beatifull whales!' or something like that. Suddenly a BIG green arrow appeared pointing down towards the sea. I tried to look down but from the cockpit I couldn't see anything. So I switched to spot-view and turned the view around until I could see the end of the arrow. Still no whales. I paused the sim, zoomed in and... YES! There were a few pixels moving in the water! Wow............. ;)Still, the idea is VERY nice, of course. I really love the cars: they (finally) make you think you are not alone out there. And the elephants in the African mission were quit big and hard to miss when they crossed the runway while I was taking off... ;)

There are loads of birds in Dutch Harbour near the boats. It's so cool!
