Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 support

Featured Replies

Any indication whether FS2020 will support the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 sticks with appropriate force feedback?

The sim supports input from anything windows picks up more or less. I can't say anything about FFB due to NDA.

assumed it'll work as basic input. But wasn't sure if there is actual forces being applied or not. I'm hoping even if not, there is enough of an SDK for a developer to build a plugin that can apply forces.

I'm thinking that it will work within the sim.  However, it won't be working correctly until Russel Dirks, who wrote FSForce for the stick years ago, applies his software to it. Russel has upgraded his software for every version of P3d as well as FSX.  I believe he is working on FSForce for MSFS2020.  That's indicative that Force will be integrated into the sim.  At least that's what I'm assuming from questions I have asked over the last month or so.

Any news about it? Does anyone playing the beta version managed to successfuly use FFB using a MS FFB2?
