Scenery Library in FSX

Featured Replies

Hi,I've been trying to add Justin's fsglc_us.bgl US Landclass file into FSX. Despite the fact that it appears to have been added in the Scenery Library, the database recreated and FSX reloaded, it does not show up as an entry in Scenery.cfg.I read that this file doesn't work if placed in the SceneryBaseScenery folder, but does if placed in the Addon SceneryScenery folder.Thinking ahead and anticipating updates for FSX of the UT series I thought I would instead place the file in the SceneryFSGLCScenery folder - just as I did for FS9.I don't know how important it is in FSX to omit a Texture folder under these circumstances, but I have done so.In any event, as I said, it won't show up as an entry in Scenery.cfg after being added in the Scenery library. Am I missing something perhaps?Mike

Hi Mike, the active scenery.cfg is in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftFSX . I assume you were looking at the one in the FSX root directory, which is not active.Cheers, Holger

Hi Holger,Caught hook line and sinker! Those guys at ACES love to tease!Regards,Mike :)

FWIW the one in the root directory is copied over to the user folder on first run and if it every goes missing.
