Is it possible to hide a whole thread?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was wondering - is it possible to hide a whole thread, somehow?

I'm getting a little tired of all the haters, rant-threads in the Microsoft Flight Simulator forum, as well as the constant whining in there, with users, who (for some reason) cannot do this or think that the sim is unusable, because of some error or bug they've found, which apparently ruins the whole experience for them... 😞

It's getting really annoying, with these cup-half-empty threads, as I'm really enjoying the sim and have only praise left-over for it. Sure, it's a little 'rough-around-the-edges', but firstly, I'm sure that Asobo quickly will hammer out any bugs and secondly, it's just released. Give it time.

I know, that I shouldn't take these opinions to heart, but it's getting really annoying with constant whining and generalizations of things that MUST be wrong, because some users report them. Also, issues people are driving these things up to a level where it doesn't belong, IMO. I don't understand these kind of threads?! Why? Why the need to bash and yell out, that everything is wrong and it's unusable?!

Whatever happened to:
"Wow, this sim is just great. I'm really enjoying it. I have come across a few bugs here and there. Can you guys confirm or is it something I've misunderstood somewhere?"

There's NEVER any stipulation, that some of the errors they've come across, COULD be - just could be something, that they're doing wrong or have misunderstood? No of course not! They have XXX hours in the real thing, and therefore MUST be experts in this sim and everything it contains... *SIGH* It's leading to ridiculous accusations and insane insinuations of ill management and poor work of the developers - when these people actually know NOTHING about this in reality!

But NO. It's just rant, rant, rant. It's annoying to read and view... and to be frank - it's ruining the experience for the users, who's actually trying to find the positives in this new amazing sim!

So I ask: Is it possible to hide a whole thread?

Sorry for the rant thread, myself... 🙂

I hope you all enjoys this new wonderful sim. I sure am -- but frankly I could do, without the haters and naysayers.

🙂

To answer your question.......YES it is possible to remove a whole topic/thread.  BUT, not for the reason you stated.  There is no one holding a gun to your head telling you to read a topic that disturbs you.  Simple answer is to move on to something else.

Topics can be either locked or removed if a majority of the posters go "Off Topic" or begin arguments with each other.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
