August 20, 20205 yr Anyone get the manual cache to work? I tried to cache the area around my small hometown and airport. After downloading the area and unplugging my internet connection everything looks the same as it does with no cache or internet. No improvements at all. I tried doing the whole area in Low, Medium and High and no changes. Medium and High had exactly the same file sizes, both pretty small (single digit megabytes), so it must not be saving much. It looks great with the internet connection, and is still playable without. I was just hoping I could have some high quality areas saved locally. I also tried disabling the rolling cache and it had no effect.
August 20, 20205 yr I opened the performance monitor to see what files are accessed when flying over a pre-cached area and the manual cache wasn't touched. We need info on how this feature works and under what circumstances. Specs: Win10, 4790K, nVidia 1080ti, Saitek Yoke+Quadrant+Radio/Switch and AP panels, VRInsight 737 overhead, Virtual Avionics 737 MCP. 3 x 1440*900 main display + 1024*600 VDU display. NLR V3 Motion seat. Oculus DK2 CV1 HTC Vive VR headsets.
