"Always on" controller inputs - unexpected side effects

Featured Replies

Just a heads up for people that are experiencing extremely rapid trim control acceleration or the inability to set heading bug, VOR OBS course, Heading Indicator adjustment, ADF compass card adjustment by increments less than 10 degrees with either mouse scroll wheel or single clicking the adjustment knob. There appears to be a bug in how MSFS handles controllers with "always on" toggle switches...i.e. the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke. The behavior is also mimicked if you simply hold down a regular momentary push button type of control input so that it is "active" while you make the adjustment. I know it has been reported to the dev team already, but I thought I'd pass along the info for anyone struggling with these odd behaviors.

I was getting the 10 degree jump on the OBS and heading bug before I installed my alpha flight controls. just an old saitek cyborg 3d force was installed and an xbox controller neither have always on inputs. So the bug appears to be a bit deeper that that.

I my case unbinding all the commands from the "always on" switches on the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke solved the issue with 10-degree heading bug increments, 1000 ft altitude bug increments and exagerated trim control.
