installing plane

Featured Replies

I just installed a 3rd party plane which was built for 2004. It flies good and everything works EXCEPT I have no nav lights or panel lights. Any ideas?

No. Seems the obvious answer, doesn't it...?If you'd posted exacty which plane it is you might have gotten a more usefull answer. ;)

You are right. It is the obvious answer. My fault. I should have given all info but I wss't sure I should use names but here goes because I really would like a solution. It is Bill Lyons Luscombe 8A. I love that little plane, but it was for 2004 so I figured it probably wouldn't work.Anyway here is what I did; I made a new folder, called it aircraft, inside fsx folder. Then I used auto install, same as usual. It all went into the aircraft folder. I took the plane and placed it in the sim objects/plane folder, guages in guage folder and effects in effects folder.Everything works except nav and panel lights. Even landing light works. I went into the plane cfg file and found the lights entry but don't know what to enter there, if anything.

Don,I have transferred a few FS9 planes over and some problems with taxi lights and nav lites. I figure it is something in the Effects folder but so far can't figire it out. Sorry I can't help.Carl

In the config file the lighting is listed and it seems to me that I should put some kind of entry there but I don't know what. I guess I have to give up on this plane. Not very good to fly without any panel lights. I thought I was going to get some help from the first gentleman that answered because he wanted more info and I gave it to him.
