August 22, 20205 yr I've been trying this afternoon and finding out that the weather data comes from www.meteoblue they don't have Lightning Strikes on their Website or App, this is pretty poor as most other Weather Reporting Websites I use all have Lightning Strike Locations. So my guess is because they don’t have the data then it can’t get fed back into the game, so whilst the Rain & Clouds are pretty much spot on there is no Lightning activity reported so therefore none in game. I hope this gets sorted in the future as even weak storms should show up. I will add the storms I’ve tried to chase this Afternoon haven’t been massive storms by any stretch, so when one of those pops up I’ll take another look, but in the meantime has anyone seen Lightning with Live Weather and it's been correlating to real life?
