Rudder Flapping

Featured Replies

I have Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. I notice the rudder on a the Cessna jerks around and upon looking at in external view, I can see the rudder flapping back and forth when I depress on side or the other. It's like it's unhinged. I have played extensively with "sensitivity" but it has no effect on this issue. Is anyone else seeing this loose rudder behavior?

Do you have the rudder axis programmed on another controller like a twisted joystick? it does not work after SU5, my joystick axis behaves the same if I have it connected at the same time as my Yoke.

I'd agree the first place to look would be in your MSFS controller settings in the sim - see if anthing else is set to control the rudder axis.

Then, I'd run Windows app joy.cpl outside the sim, and check your controllers.

If still not fixed, I'd unplug all my usb controllers and start MSFS to see if the problem still exists.  If it does, the problem's somewhere besides your controllers.

Common issue I think.  Try increasing the deadzone.
