October 29, 200619 yr Hi everyone. I'm one of those long-time listener, first-time caller types. I searched the forums before I asked this question, but if the answer is already out there, I'm sorry. At KLIT, you have three runways, 4L/22R, 4R/22L, and 36/18. I have parked at the observation area many times and watched GA aircraft use 36/18 99% of the time while commercial aircraft use the other two runways. Now in FSX (and previous versions), no matter what weather conditions I set, I have never been able to get ATC to give me permission to use 36/18. I don't like taxiing from the west side of the airport all the way over to 22R to take off.So there has to be a way to make ATC give me permission to use 36/18, right?Your friend,Uncle Skinny
October 29, 200619 yr Can wait for a AFCAD editor to be released, and then you can modify the airport to not use the other runways.>Hi everyone. October 29, 200619 yr >Can wait for a AFCAD editor to be released, and then you can>modify the airport to not use the other runways.Would one be able to modify the airport to use all three runways? That would be, like the slogan says, "as real as it gets," because in reality, aircraft use all three runways at the same time.

Send me a e-mail and I can make a very small bgl for FSX that will open all runways at KLIT.Search on author Jim Vile

October 29, 200619 yr Hi Uncle S,I seem to remember someone posting a tip to go to the Weather menu and set the wind direction so that, using your desired runway, you will be taking off INTO the wind. For example, if wanting to use Rwy 36, set the wind direction from approximately 360 degrees (I think I have that right) so that you will be taking off into the wind. Now ATC should direct you to Rwy 36. As I recall, velocity is unimportant.I haven't tried this myself, but I don't recall seeing any posts saying 'Hey! That doesn't work!'Worth a try at least.-Rick----------- My System -----------P4 @ 2.53 GHz / 1GB RAM / NVIDIA GeForce 6800XT, 256MB / Windows XP Home

But fortunately I think Jim is working on a fix.
