Why no user waypoint as FPL start

Featured Replies

Hi,

as far as my understanding goes, I can only manually add airports, that are not in the database, by adding them as user waypoints.

Now I was wondering why I only can use them as waypoints along the route and not as flight plan start? Is there a different path I have to take?

Thanks

Cannot be done and not likely to be implemented:

If you have updated Navigraph data you can try using them only and maybe the airport you miss from the scenery DB is found there instead and therefore can be used as FP origin / destination / alternate

You can still add user defined waypoint as start or destination to create flight plan snippets. Using these as a plan this will usually break the simulator and any FMC/MCDU/GPS.

This will no longer be a problem anyway once the MSFS scene library can be read by LNM.

Thanks for your answers. I was just wondering from a technical standpoint why this doesn't work out. Now I know more.

It will be awesome when the msfs scenery is able to load. Rooting for you 😉
