Can planes of upgrade packages be tweaked?

I only have the standard version, but am thinking about upgrading to Deluxe.

I've heard though, that some of the configuration files of the added planes (e.g. aircraft.cfg, system.cfg) are in an encrypted format, and can thus not be edited.

Can someone who has the luxury packages check if that's true?

Yes, they are all encrypted. I have asked for Asobo to let us Tweak them, since this is a big deal for the FS community, and I Suggest everyone does the same!
