Question about chatter files

Recommended Posts

Is there a simple way to remove or deaktivate the HF chatter files?

Thanks, Peter

If you mean the additional ones supplied use the option to deactivate them playing.

Hi Ray,

sorry, but I don´t know what you mean?

I have only those files which included in the  "regular" RC4 package.

You hear those only, if you are flying around Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

For the real world: those are mainly used for position reports during Trans Atlantic/Pacific crossing, before Datalink was available.

Hi Peter, do you mean the wav files that don’t change and you hear the same recordings time after time?

Look at your Settings. There is an option to play pre-recorded wavs. If it’s selected then deselect it. You will then only hear chatter between ATC and pilots.

Hi Ray,

yes, I did that already. Those word not allowed chatter files are gone, but all other also.

I hear now, lets say, only those planes which also approach the same airport, as mey. Is very quiet in the air.

But if that is the only way, I can live with that, because is only in the above mentioned area.

Thanks for your help

Peter

Peter, have you read the manual? That explains every aspect of RC4 and should answer your question.

Just to clarify, you will only hear instructions for other aircraft if you are on the same frequency and, if airborne, in the same flight layer. You won’t hear instructions for airborne traffic if you are on Ground or Clearance. And you won’t hear aircraft at 5,000ft if you’re at 25,000ft.

What Ai package are you using? AIG is the best and there’s plenty of chatter.

Yes, I have red the manual, but that was 1 week after very first release of RC.

AI package is UTL,

Thanks, Peter

UTL traffic is injected rather than being held in BGLs. The response from RC4 may not be the same.
