October 31, 200619 yr I have installed FSX on a system with 3 display (2 nvidia cards)If FSX is run in full screen mode (the way it installs), it grabs all three displays (non-primary turn black) and detached windows can be dragged to any of the 3 displays. I didn't like this at all at first because I use one display for all sorts of system things like Windows Explorer, Task Manager, Internet Activity monitor, temp monitor , UPS monitor ... you get the idea. I didn't like losing these when FSX starts. A further problem with this is that FSX doesn't restore one of the displays on exit and I practically have to reboot to get it back.I found that if FSX is run in windowed mode, it uses only one display. Detached windows cannot be dragged to the other displays (this is possible with FS9).Does anyone know if there is a way to tell FSX not to grab a specific display in full screen mode? That is, is there a way I can use 2 of the 3 displays with FSX?
October 31, 200619 yr No problems here with windowed mode running undocked windows on other screens. I'm using 2 monitors with a single ATI x850 card.
