September 2, 20205 yr After reading many posts regarding cache usage, I came to the conclusion that the only real benefit of the manual cache is to reduce our internet bandwidth usage when flying in the saved areas and have access to that data when playing offline (please correct me if I am wrong). Since I am always connected to the internet on a 400 Mbps bandwidth with unlimited downloads, and always run MSFS connected to a server, I think that in my case creating a manual cache is not needed. I am nonetheless questioning the benefit of increasing the rolling cache (currently at 8GB), but can't decide if there is a real benefit. Would increasing it improve performance or would it simply provide a way to keep the older data a bit longer before it is overwritten ? In short, would I benefit from a larger rolling cache, other than save on bandwidth usage (which I don't need to do) ? Thanks in advance for your input.
