September 6, 20205 yr Hi Guys, here is my build which shall be (mainly) used for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dimona93/saved/fDhKpg I've planned to take the RTX 3080 as graphics card once available. Would appreciate your comments on this build! Should I go for the founder's edition of the RTX 3080 or for a custom card? (pros and cons?) Will my mainboard be compatible with the RTX 3080? Thanks in advance! Edited September 6, 20205 yr by dimona93
September 6, 20205 yr https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Tektolnes/saved/#view=rM66rH My suggestions would keep to the same price point but made a few changes - maybe others might comment too as these things are always somewhat subjective: Swapped out the Corsair H150 for the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 as it's way cheaper and performs very well - see Gamers Nexus review for example. There's no RGB though in case that's important to you - if it is check out the EK 360. You could save a bit more if you went with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 as it gets most of the performance of the 360 but maybe the 360 would be best for overclocking the 10900K (I'm not an expert here) Swapped out the Asus MB for the Maximus XII Hero as assuming you want to overclock the 10900K this MB will handle that well and it's a good all round board The RAM you'd selected is a bit average for this system. Is there some reason you need 64GB? If not I'd suggest going with some 32GB 3600 CL 16 RAM which should be more than enough for MFS and would give you better all round performance Bumped the NVME drive to 1TB keeping the same brand Swapped out the case for Phanteks 600S as it's a good bit cheaper. There's other cases around the $150 mark that would also perform well so maybe check reviews and make your pick. I just picked the Phanteks 600S as it's a decent case and I know for sure that it's compatible with the AIO above as the AIO needs quite a bit of headroom which some cases don't have Bumped the PSU to 850W keeping the same brand/make otherwise As for the 3080 best thing is to wait and see reviews come in for FE vs AIB. No issues with board compatibility.
