September 13, 20205 yr I have a low power gpu (1060) and 3 4k monitors (waiting for the 3080 to come out). I'm trying to get a bigger field of view in a lower res mode so that I can keep above 20 frames. In windowed mode, I can stretch the window across the 3 screens so that it renders at a lower res. This works quite well, however some things don't line up properly. For example highways bend at the angle my monitors set. I understand why this is happening. I'm just wondering if there's any tips or tricks to lessen the distortion.
September 13, 20205 yr Hi, not a definitive answer, but as I understand some video cards have settings in their control panels that can assist with this. I've skimmed across mentions of such settings in various places, but I expect it much depends on the card manufacturer. Perhaps that'd be a place to check though?
September 13, 20205 yr There are many threads on this forum explaining in detail the apparent distortion when using side displays placed at an angle. I strongly suggest using the forum search function. In short: The lower the angle between the central and side displays the less the flat projection geometry will be abused and the distortion will be less apparent. Also zooming in helps.
