ORBX Library for MFS

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am quite lost in Orbx Libraries.

P3D is runing on a dedicaded SSD. i have installed temp/backup/library in a specific folder in the existing P3D SSD.

Now i would like to add library for MFS. In the Orbx guide i have read "A library in Central is an additional install location". What does it mean ? Duplication of all the content in differents locations ? For what purpose ?

What do you suggest to get the best and cleanest install ?

P3D & MFS are running in 2 separate and dedicaced SSD

Thanks for answer.

If you've got an SSD dedicated to MSFS, I can see no real advantage to setting up a separate ORBX library. Just install it to the default sim location. As I understand it, the main benefit of using a separate ORBX library is to put ORBX add-ons on a separate disk to your main sim, which I would only bother with if I was running out of space.

^ This....
If you purchase Orbx scenery from marketplace it actually goes into the "official" folder in your profile.  The "official" folder is in the same directory as your community folder.

If you purchase Orbx scenery and manage it through the Orbx library, then Orbx creates symbolic links in the community folder and points them to where Orbx actually installs the content.
