September 17, 20205 yr I don't have the latest and greatest PC so I tend to fly clear skies. I have volumetric clouds set to low since I don't get any clouds. I found an option in the dev menu under options called Volumetric Clouds. It was checked by default. I unchecked it, saw no visual difference (still no clouds), but my FPS jumped from 27 to 32. You can save the setting, and then close the dev menu and it remembers this setting. Of course, if you want clouds they look bad.
