September 19, 20205 yr I've never really seen this discussed so I thought I'd mention it. After a flight is started and you are on the ramp or runway, you can still load a flight plan. No, it's not from inside the cockpit but you don't have to go back to the world map and reset everything. If you hit the escape button, you see the same load/save option that is seen on the world map. Problem is, if you try to load, only FLT files show up per the extension filter. But that doesn't stop the PLN files from loading, only showing up. If you type (*.PLN) for the file name and then hit OPEN, you will get your list the flight plans. Load as normal. ESC back to the aircraft and you will see the first leg of the flight plan showing up in the PFD. Here's the bug part. The flight plan doesn't load into the MFD. There is no indication on the map that anything was loaded in. But if you autopilot with the NAV function, the plane will fly the loaded route. You can actually change the flight plan in the air also using the above method, but the plane will immediately start to fly the first leg of the newly loaded route if you didn't turn off the NAV function. So it is nice, and at least it's something, but, it will be much better when it is fixed to 1) Show the PLN files 2) Load the MFD Edited September 19, 20205 yr by LarryD
September 19, 20205 yr Interesting didn’t know about the * trick although it’s a common Windows trick. Seems odd anyway that at the main menu you can load a PLN file but not when the airport has loaded in.... Thomas Derbyshire
