September 20, 20205 yr I keep getting the amber/pink warning on the eicas display saying takeoff inhibit as I set throttles for takeoff. Same goes for landing - I get landing inhibit some time before touchdown (dont know exactly when the message pops up). For both instances all the takeoff memoes are green, including cabin ready, and the inhibit warning comes AFTER the memoes are all green. I was thinking maybe it is something to do with the fuel or weight, but I cant really manipulate anything of matter on that page. Anyone know what gives? Hey Andreas, these are normal annunciators in the Airbus. T.O INHIBIT means that a number of cautions and warnings are suppressed during the Take off phase so pilots are only bothered with the important warnings (engine fire etc).
September 20, 20205 yr Author ah! Silly me. I love the airbus, but still I have much less experience with it than the boeings. I thought TO inhibit meant "DONT TAKE OFF, SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG!!!" 😄 Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
September 20, 20205 yr FCOM (INDICATING/RECORDING SYSTEMS / ECAM DESCRIPTION): Most warnings and cautions are inhibited during critical phases of flight (T/O INHIBIT – LDG INHIBIT), because most system failures will not affect the aircraft’s ability to continue a takeoff or landing.
