September 25, 20205 yr That is so cool to be able to create a flight plan in the plane and it transmits to ATC. There are so many little things in MSFS that when you finally figure it out have to really appreciate what's already been accomplished it's just flippin' fantastic! This plane is pretty cool for what it is and it's great to the G3000 allow you to enter FP's and get waypoint info including frequencies, runways, etc. As a way of learning more I'm duplicating a motorcycle trip done in 2016 w/ almost 10K miles from coastal CA thru southern Utah & thru diverse areas in the Colorado Rockies to the south end of the Blue Ridge Parkway (home of the famous Tail 'o the Dragon) to the tip of Cape Cod and up into NH/Vermont, around Michigan's eastern shore and up over the Macenac Bridge to the UP, back down thru the Badlands and Black Hills then on to various points in Wyoming and up over the Tetons and eventually back to coastal CA. I am following our route quite closely and it's remarkable how it has triggered the memories! I won't bore you more w/ the details but it nothing short of fabulous. On approach to the rather boring Plains town of Dodge City KA (where we stayed after Golden CO) I was struck by the wind-driven wave action on these ponds. After landing and refueling was able to create another flight plan in the plane w/o going back to the main screen and ATC correctly follows it. Pretty cool! I also didn't know how easy it was to create a custom flight plan but don't know why VOR and DME are on the flight planning map. I used LittleNavMap to get the name of a VOR and was able to input it into the MFD's flight planner. Off to exciting Springfield MO for the next stop ;o) Edited September 25, 20205 yr by Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
