Landing Challenge Creator-Usable?

What have you tried so far? I looked at the release in GitHub and it's marked as pre-release so I'm not sure if the developer even thinks it's in a usable state yet. And I need to see if there's a compiled executable in the zip, otherwise I need to compile the program before I can run

There is no executable only an sln file that I ran using Microsoft Visual Studio at which point, as a non-coder, I became lost.

It looks like a very useful application if we can get it to work i.e. bring up a usable version of the app shown in the "screenshot.jpg" file.  I don't know enough to make sense of the "readme.md" file.

I strongly suspect you are right in saying that it needs to be compiled--that is what I need help doing.

Thanks for any thoughts you may have on this.

Hey, if you look at the releases section, there is a zip which has an executable so I don't think you need to compile anything. I'm on my phone so can't really go into lot of detail. Just don't download the zip file marked source.

I'll give this a try.  I was not able to find it myself on the github website.  Many thanks and I'll get back with a report.

Still can't get this to work.  The "exe" file does bring up the app as shown in the picture, but the readme calls for choosing the "packages" directory with both Community and Official sub-directories.

Since I opted for a non-standard installation root directory, those two subs are in that root--not  in any "packages" directory.  I can't seem to get MSFS to find the FLT and related files that are generated by the app.

Any ideas would be appreciated since "Landing Challenges" are at least one part of this sim that is usable in its present state.  It would be great to be able to build more of them.

I haven't tried this yet, but I'd just select the folder above the Community and Official folder as the "packages" directory. For example, if you have them installed in C:\FS2020 pick that as the "packages" directory.
