September 30, 20205 yr I have LINDA on my one computer (Alienware Aurora R4/Windows 7) for playing FSX:SE, and it opens within seconds. I've never had a major issue in the two years I've used it. I've just purchased a newer computer, specifically for playing flight sims, which runs Windows 10. Using a completely clean install, I attached the flight control peripherals (all Saitek: Pro Flight Yoke w/ Throttle Quadrant, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, two additional Throttle Quadrants, Pro Flight Switch Panel, and Pro Flight Radio Panel), re)installed Steam, run FSX:SE, downloaded and (re)installed FSUIPC, and then downloaded and installed LINDA. (As a total non sequitur, Chrome kept refusing to download the LINDA .zip file, identifying it as a "malicious download"). For some reason that I cannot figure out, LINDA is taking over five minutes to open. Even when I went back to my original computer and updated LINDA, it still opens within seconds while the newer computer still takes forever. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any idea what's up?
October 1, 20205 yr Delays in running LINDA can be caused with problems recognising connected devices. Is it the LINDA GUI that is not displaying or is it the LUA code (Restarting)? Please confirm the versions of LINDA and FSUIPC4 you are using with FSX:SE. You should be using LINDA 3.1.1 and FSUIPC 4.275a. Also examine the fsuipc4.log for any errors. Ensure that Developer mode and Verbose logging selected. Please email me the logs (fsuipc4.log and linda2.log) to linda @ awginfosys.net. There should be no reason for the .zip files to be marked as suspicious. I wouldn't have thought so, either, but this is what I'm getting when I attempt the download using Chrome: I'm gathering the other requested information and will post that next. ~Masterius

Not sure if this is the cure or not, but I neglected the first rule of thumb step: reboot. 🙄 Just powered up from a full shutdown, and LINDA loads within seconds. 😀
