October 4, 20205 yr Hi. I have just returned to MS Flight Simulator 2020 after many absent years because I was really impressed with the progress that has been made. However, I have a problem with the controls that I hope someone will be able to help me with. I set my Joystick up and checked the function with the Sensitivity function within the simulator and the pointer moves slowly up and down the curve. However, when in the cockpit, Cessna, and move the joystick, the yoke doesn't move then all of a suden it jumps, then as I continue to slowly move the joystick, nothing happens, then the yoke jumps again. Reminise of the original FS. I have adjusted the sensitivities and dead zones but I don't seem to make any progress in getting a nice smooth action on the control surfaces, it's always jumpy. This is making it very difficult to fly. Is there something I am overlooking here or not doing correctly? Thanks for you help.
October 4, 20205 yr Known issue. The control sensitivity in MSFS is a big mess until now. It should be usable on a linear curve. I think it's that dynamic pressure has too much effect on the control surfaces (especially at lower speeds). Upvote the official bug thread to make it move higher on their priority list: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/flight-control-sensitivity/184445 Edited October 4, 20205 yr by tweekz Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
